This monthly newsletter is a wonderful, fun resource for all information related to our club!
President's Message
I can't believe it's October already, where does the time go. I'd like to update you a bit on my absences. My job has me on an assignment in Vermont that has been requiring a lot of travel, that means I can't be with you all at the meetings. I appreciate the board stepping up and filling in the gaps, you are all awesome!
October means fall, my birthday, and most importantly, World Polio Day. We have a great plan for our meeting later in the month and encourage you all to bring 1-2 friends that may be potential Rotarians to join us. Polio eradication is our promise to the Children of the World. No child should be crippled by a disease we know how to stop. Please invite your friends, make a donation to Polio Plus, sponsor a fundraiser on your social media account or any other thing you can think of to help in this fight. You will all be a part of history when we eradicate this horrible disease!
For Basic Education and Literacy Month (August), we have a special, heartwarming story from one of our own members. Tedde and Hunter's Little, Trae, just turned 8 and loves school, especially reading.
If you would like to purchase a customized Rotary name badge or apparel, Russell Hampton has been the premier supplier of Rotary Club Supplies since 1920 and is Rotary's original licensed vendor. It is the most complete source of Rotary merchandise in the world. You will be responsible for covering this personal expense.
