The rain in April certainly brought May flowers! Now if only it were to stop raining...

April was a BUSY month for our club! Please take a moment to read through "April Club Projects." It is a lovely showcase of all the wonderful things our club has been up to.

This month, we are excited to hear from Nick McGrath, East Central Iowa Field Coordinator from Trees Forever. He will explain how trees impact the environment, the importance of trees in cities and communities, the work of Trees Forever in CR and Iowa, and the benefits of native trees vs non-native trees in Iowa. This presentation will be especially important for our club because it is the direction of our next District Grant - applying to receive funds to plant trees in three locations around Linn County. More information to come!

Don't forget to sign-up to help at HACAP this month too. Spots are limited to the first 10 volunteers - so sign-up here today!

Yours In Service,
Michelle
