Check out what our co-sponsored Interact Club at Washington High School is up to!Interact is a service club for young people ages 12-18 who are passionate about making a difference while learning about the world and themselves. And having fun! Interact clubs are expected to organize at least two projects every year: one that helps their school or community and one that promotes international understanding.
Our Rotary Club sponsors two Interact Clubs: Mt Vernon HS and Washington HS. (Washington HS is sponsored by our club and Cedar Rapids West Rotary.)
WHS Snack PantriesThe Washington High School Interact club applied for a District Grant in 2022-2023 to help fund the creation and installation student food pantries for students in need of food during the school day.
What can you do?
Help collect snacks for the snack pantries (granola bars, fruit snacks, peanut butter crackers, etc.).
Bring your donations to a regular club meeting or drop off in the main office anytime with attn to: Wash Interact
Interact Meetings
The Washington Interact Club meets weekly to plan events, speakers, and recruit volunteers for projects.
How can you get involved?
Attend Interact meetings on Fridays to stay connected (2nd and 4th Friday from 1:15-1:45 in RM 249; please email Danielle dmaus@crschools.us so she knows you are coming)
