Speaker: History of BeerAt our first Rotary meeting in July, Doug Alberhasky, grandson of "Dirty John," shared the history of beer in Iowa City and talked about the upcoming movie. We enjoyed learning about the history of beer in Iowa City and specifically as it relates to John's Grocery. Doug also shared plans for an upcoming beer tour of Europe in May 2024.

Year-End Celebration
A well attended end of the year celebration was held at the home of, and hosted by, our club secretary, Erin Steffen. There were about 20 club members and guests in attendance along with our club returning youth exchange student, Rebecca Conrad, who just arrived home from her year in Spain. There was a celebration of the work done by outgoing president, Mariah Obiedzinski, and a video from incoming president, Katie Wilford.
