As we approach the halfway point of the Rotary year, we have some ground to make up in the next six months in order to reach our goals.

Since the beginning of this year, we have seen donations to the Annual Fund of $1,280 with a goal of $7,500. Our PolioPlus Fund contributions are at $285 with an annual goal of $1,250. This gives us the opportunity to show what we can really do as a Club when we have a goal and a deadline. Please consider giving what you can as we make a push to reach our goals and continue to be an example of a successful and active club in District 5970.

One way our members can get the most bang for their buck over the next three months is by taking advantage of the Rotary Rush program going on right now. Through this program, Rotary members can utilize matching funds to reach a first or another Paul Harris.

In other words, for every $1.00 given, 1 point is earned ($100 minimum gift is needed to begin. $500 maximum gift for matching). Your donation plus the match, must get you to the next level.

If you choose to participate in this challenge, you will need to fill out Form 123-EN [https://my.rotary.org/en/document/contribution-form-rotary-foundation] which is also available at the Foundation tab on the District’s website / www.district5970.org.  Please email the completed form to Mickelson.Theresa@gmail.com or mail the completed form to Theresa Mickelson, 1929 Ridgeway Drive SE, Cedar Rapids, Iowa 52403. If you are paying by check, please make it payable to “The Rotary Foundation – Annual Fund,” please include the check with the form.

More information on this program specific to Linn County Rotary will be coming out very soon.
