Why did you join Rotary? Was considering becoming a member of a service group once my kids were out of local schools.
What do you like most about Rotary? Service projects.
Career: I was a physics professor at Cornell for 38 years retiring in 2000.
Hobbies: Having playing basketball in college, I still enjoy shooting baskets at age 86. When our health was better my wife, Kay, and I took many travels around the world like China, Russia and Australia. Today it is mostly reading, TV news talk shows and sports events, and computer surfing.
More About Me: Although my official name is Harlan I go by Cot. I was a white-haired kid and my Dad called me cottontop which became truncated to just "Cot". This started around age 3 or 4. People in my hometown of Kingman, Kansas knew me as Cot.
