Preventable Injuries are the number one Killer of children in the United States. Every year 8,000 families lose a child to a preventable injury.
Millions more children are injured every year. In the United States 7.7 million children are treated for injuries in emergency departments every year. These are often injuries that can affect them for a lifetime.
Many families don’t have access to the information and resources they need to keep their children safe from injuries and tragedies.
The good news is they are all preventable. We are partnering together with the Linn County Safe Kids Coalition and RC Rail to provide Mt Vernon Lisbon community a safety fair to learn about children's safety issues and how to prevent them. The safety fair will be held during the Lisbon Sauerkraut Days.
